that may just appear to be the case in some major cities like LA or san francisco -.-
Well If I'm right it's mostly the hip-hop guys who talk about music and the rockers and mettlers who usually keep silent because they don't really mind it at all
70%?? i cant stand rap. and i wouldnt suggest that only 30% of people in the world like rock! or techno or country or metal or classical or jazz or any others..
it would be fair to say you could never find a percentage since so many people like so many different genres nowadays.
and for the record. i like all music but especially techno. and i live in Europe.
Is it wrong to listen to Hip-Hop/Rap? Just because you all want to believe this forum is the "other 30%" and one-of-a-kind unique, you're wrong. Just like every forum, there's a group of fanboys who believe in Rock liberation and all Rap is Jime Jones, Soulja Boy and 50 cent. That's because you only listened to those 3. That's what makes many of you more pathetic to the people who honestly enjoy this music. Go on Youtube and search for some oldies, some Compton and some Underground Bay. By the way, by saying I listen to Hip-Hop doesn't mean I'm a fly ballin' G thang. It means I like a genre of music. When did what Phone Number you had affect how people see you? "His phone number is 1-555-321-7890, he MUST be a Nazi!" Learn that the other 30% of the 70% of those who listen to Rap aren't Boyz from tha Hood.
Masquerade it is not wrong to listen to Hip-Hop/Rap (I really like it) but let's face facts. It is just reality, in my country anyway, that most of the people like Rap/Hip-Hop=) I like rock, metal etc and not much people I know like that as much as they like Rap. Not even talking about the few people who like Rap/Hip-Hop ánd Metal etc.
Oh no, I do not agree to this, rap/r&b is actually the LEAST bought type of music. Rock is still a top seller, because it makes sense. I know it's a stereo-type, but it kinda depends on how many ghetto's there are in the world, and rap/hip hop tends to be the most heard in America, or so it seems at least.

So are you telling me New Age and Techno is sold more than Hip-Hop/Rap? Stop exaggerating your cause. It's the 2nd most bought Genre.

I hope you even bother to even read this single page and it's contents before spewing your generic views all over this thread. What you just posted has been posted 20 times before.
