So apparently we aren't allowed to make "rate above you" threads, So I am going to go ahead and make a "Review above you" thread since the "Review That Movie" thread is going pretty well.
So anyways, keep your posts to AT LEAST a couple sentences, and if you have never heard the song PLEASE look it up on youtube. Since this is classic rock, not metal, hard rock, rap, or hip hop (AC/DC, metallica, cannibal corpse, Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, etc...) IS NOT ALLOWED.
*sigh* you people just don't get it do you. Post thoughtful reviews about the song. For example, Shadow's post
OK song, very interesting guitar part. I'm not much of a Led Zeppelin fan, though. I suppose it may appeal to some, but not to me.
that is NOT a good example of a thoughtful review, I could easily just replace Led Zeppelin with ANY other band and the review would apply.
When Reviewing, post maybe something about the band or song that you liked, maybe your favorite part in the song, or maybe your least favorite. just PLEASE be thoughtful when reviewing otherwise this thread will be locked and everyone will be sad. ----------------
9.314/10 Great song with many different speeds. I like the contrast between Stipes fast paced machine gun style singing at the starts spewing out words and the slowers rounds of lyrics. It is a great song to just put your headphones on close your eyes and listen.
Ah, My Generation, the anthem of the 60's. This song is simply amazing. I love how in the song he studders, I think it just adds to the powerfulness of the it all. I also love The Who's antics on stage. They were the first ones to smash up their instruments on stage at the end of shows.
Which part? There are three parts of "Another Brick in the Wall" on the album "The Wall"
I'll just review the second part considering that is the most popular.
Anyway, I think that this song has a good message behind it: Don't let other people control your thoughts or opinions otherwise you will just become another mindless human being floating through life...another brick in the wall... Anyways, onto the musical part. I really think that this song has a nice funky bassline. And when it gets to the guitar solo, it is just so soulful.
NICU is a very very very repetitive song. . .the instrumentals are impressive, the guitar line is great, the keyboard ids phenomenal, but the same few chords and lines are just repeated and repeated and repeated. . .which damages the otherwise awesome song.
One of my favourite songs by them because well people are strange. Nice bass in it and the voice all most lulls you into a trance I find lol. 9.314/10 Good speed as well (eeerrr.. tempo?) just right.
The Doors don't have a bass player, ironically. They use a bass keyboard ------------ This is an interesting song. I'm not sure if I like it or not, because some of the instrument lines are annoying, and the vocals are too, yet it comes together into a quirky gem. ------ Not sure if it's classic rock, but Yes-Coldplay (my favorite Coldplay song)
