I know this topic has probably been done a hundred times but it's always fun to discuss weapons, If you have pictures post them so we can all see.
My favorties: 1. HK G36C 2. AA .12 aka Street Sweeper (full auto 12 gauge shotgun) 3. PWS Diablo (7in. piston upper receiver, about the same size as an MP5 but chambered in 5.56mm) and finally 4. Bushmaster ACR (formally Magpul's Masada and much better than the FNH SCAR in my opinion)
I think it's because there's really nothing wrong with the 5.56 NATO at the moment to consider finding a replacement other than it being somewhat ineffective against armored enemies. The 7.62x39 used by the AK is vastly inferior to the 7.62 NATO, but I would predict that some how the 7.62x39 will out live even the 5.56. Most American Sniper rifles use the .308 which is about the same as the 7.62 NATO so in that department there are plenty of rifles. I think more rifles should step up to the 6.8 SPC, midway between the 5.56 and the 7.62 NATO rounds.
The M16 when well maintained is a very good weapon, but it has to be maintained. My AR's the same weapon really and it can hit a target at a good range for its caliber so that's what matters. I also like the M14, still in use although it was replaced by the M16 and the ACR does look good, but I'll wait to see how it goes when its full released. I've used an M9 before, a good pistol, never used a 1911 though. The best weapon normally is a semi-auto rifle or carbine in the hands of someone trained to use it. If not that, M4 with the underbarrel shotgun, perfect for building clearing.
M16 is pretty good it gets 3 guys off in 1 burst. 1.guy shot. 2.guy that helps him off and the other guy that helps him off.uzi,AK-47,G3 and M21 are also good.
I must say, the classic M16 is my favorite weapon, and in my opinion, is one of the most effective assault rifles every created.
Good Characteristics of an M16
1) Lightweight, as many assault rifles such as the AK-47, AK-74, and AK-KQ8 are much heavier. Early models weighed just 6.5lb without the scope and magazine.
2) Air-cooled, preventing many situations in which your gun is 'jammed'.
3)Gas-operated, creating a much more effective quality of an assault rifle.
4)Stock is located directly behind the action, which contains a recoil spring, reducing muzzle rise during automatic fire, reducing user fatigue and increasing accuracy
5)Built in carrying handle/rail (on basic models), giving many more accessory options for the M16.
I like assault guns (like the french Famas) but i cant get no guns in my country (Portugal) cuz civil ppl arent aloud to have guns (special license only :P)
Your all sick. You find peices of metal which have no use but killing cool, and you pick favorite? That's just sick.
I find this very offensive, as my entire family consists of military participants. Firearms are merely tools that contribute to keeping our country safe. Without them, we would most likely still be using swords, maces, spears, bows, and other medieval weapons to fight our wars. I do not see how protecting civilians and fighting for honor is sick.
What!? Are you kidding me!? The H&K G36C is terrble! First off it jams alot, second it has way to much recoil, and finnaly it's bolt has way too much resistance. So when it get's jammed I can barely move the bolt.
