WOW is just not worth paying for so runescape all the way!
Reason?
runescape without a doubt. there are so many things to do in rs even if ur not a member... wow u have to pay to play and its not even that fun
Reason of why WoW isn't that fun. Example of what you can do in RuneScape that is not grinding - any game has that.... ANY game, it does seem to have variety but not that which means there is more.
Not paying as much as Blizzard ask for is probably more specific. Sure, World of Warcraft has a lot of content and is being developed extensively by Blizzard but asking you to buy the disk and then requiring monthly subscription fees is bloody cheek.

No MMOs are fun. They're either boring episodes of never-ending grinding or completely socially-orientated at which point I might as well log onto Facebook or a chat room.

I'll get onto steam tomorrow, down my dads today
With WoW, I don't grind, I just PvP, and it's not as socially orientated with such a thing.

I agree, but more to the point here, if they make a game they don't force you to play it, put simply: If you go into someones house you obide by their rules. If you play someones game, you fulfill their requirements.
Ofcourse, some rules and requirements may obviously be rediculous, however it does not mean you still go in there under them. People foresee them acceptable, others not. It also depends on your lifes situation (insert no life joke here), how much time you have, how much money to spare, what are your common interests? Can you play a game this long without being bored?
I can't play FPS's for prolonged periods of time, I can often do so with WoW, by simply talking it feels more entertaining. However I may move away from the RPG / FPS scheme a bit, I would like to move to the new Age of Empires Online which Elitemagical, thank you for informing me on :P

OK. Talking, grinding or furious number key smashing.

And if those requirements are too high then you won't want to play the game. He never said anything about being forced to play World of Warcraft, he simply stated World of Warcraft costs too much.
When you get old enough runescape isn't complex enough also there is a whole bunch more to do on wow In runescape groups there are no roles you can't heal or tank in runescape. Also you don't need 50 different accounts to have 50 different characters in wow classes and racial abilities add more complexity to the game. Also the graphics are way better. Pvp is prettty good because you can have real stragdey in your rotations stuns and heals. I also like talent trees and talent point it's nice to have a way to set you apart from just a regular player of your class. Also guilds are nice because having a community of people willing to assist or do things with you is nice, but if you can't afford wow then you can't afford wow.

A valid point, yet one of my reasons is why people argue about a requirement when in different situations it may or may not be acceptable. For me, yes it is. I am unsure about others though and a proper ending to such an argument needs to know this really.
But then again, I'll have to always go with WoW, because it's more entertaining and if I didn't have it, I would have to spend more on games to keep me entertained :P Then again, I can always go back to something after going on another because I can't do it for prolonged time but can switch back and forth. I may go serious into RTS gaming though

Because when someone's arguing they put forward their personal opinions. It's not acceptable to them and regardless of whether or not you're happy to hand Blizzard £10 or so a month they'll argue that £10 is unacceptable. Similarly you could argue that World of Warcraft is fun, but that's an opinion that would change from person to person.
Personally, I found World of Warcraft slightly more fun than RuneScape -- in terms of core gameplay -- but it was too costly and didn't seem worth it.
RunescapeI've played around 2-3 years) Pros:Non membership, free.Membership Cheap, big community,Clans + Can be addicting Cons: Boring, Old and Graphics just fail. No classes, have to make your own hybrid build.
WoW: Pros: Very good graphics, good skills, classes. Cons: Pay to play, need a cd from a shop, gets tiring after a while.
Personally I prefer runescape. Even though I only played wow for a month, I got near level cap and got bored (55+, not a death knight)
Runescape, I played for around 3 years, and I didnt reach over half of the level cap for over 2 years.
Both I would say, a waste, stick to armor games and don't waste your time on these.

Indeed - I don't see it worth it just yet, I will play when the new expansion comes but I will probably get bored of it after that. Runescape is simply unappealing because of the inflexibility, or just that I'm used to more flexibility.
Both have their uses, and it is unfair to say that either of them are crap. I'll still have to stick with WoW, however.
