This game is set in the 1940's, mainly when a lot of dictators were around in the world. So... please use technology that was used in THIS time. Thanks!

Welcome to Dictator RPG, where you become the ruler of a small settlement at the beginning.. that could escalate higher than you could imagine, or become a mass system of poverty.

To begin, Fill out this Character Sheet:

Info:

Mountains would be high up (good protection

Dictator Name:
Bio on how you came to office:
Settlement type: Village
Population: 500
Technology: Bolt-action rifles, Barbed Wire Fencing, Wooden Huts, Basic construction , Tool-Making
Buildings: 250 Huts (2 pop. = 1 Hut.) , Barb-wired perimeter of village, 1 Guard tower
Location of Settlement:
Minerals: None
Food: None
Budget:$500,000

Location of your settlements can be the following:

island- It would mainly be gaining trade by Naval use. May be a good spot for tourism, could be a good defensive use. Would mainly have fishing as a Main Food Source. Small - Medium population.

Mountains - high up (good protection from neighboring Towns/Villages/Cities/Etc.), Great source of minerals for Building, Military, and Trade use. May have harsh weather conditions during winter. and Etc. Small-Large population)

Plains-Flat land, Great for Agriculture, No natural protection. 0-7 mineral sources. Small - Extreme population

Desert- Very hot. Your population has adapted, so no worries there. All sand: No Vegetation. Ok Defense from enemies from the heat. Very Little water from an Oasis far from your settlement. LOTS of oil. 0-5 other Mineral sources Small - Large Population. Also can get cold in the Evening, so raids may come more frequently at that time.

Jungle- Lots of wood around you. Mainly village-sized Settlements around you at the beginning. A river is near you, so a good source of water. A great amount of protection, unless you clear the wood out overtime. Fruit grows out of most of the trees, and you can plant vegetables once you clear out a spot of land. Unknown Mineral sources.

That is up to you to decide

It is the beginning of a new era for your settlement. you wake up one frosty morning, and put on your coat. You walk out of your hut and already see your population waiting for you. What would you like for them to do?

You begin barking out orders, "You there! get to heating up this place!" You say to a group of Villagers. They nod their head and begin finding some supplies that would help... Seeing you don't have electronics to make heaters. Another group of villagers heads off to find firewood for the day.

It may be best to send in a scouting party. Who knows. You may find something.. or someone.

But what now?

You send out a small party of 40 people to go searching for food, other villages, minerals, and just knowing your surroundings.

Your firewood gatherers come back, and make a small mound of wood. They quickly start it up and get the village warming up slowly.

You then ask a old flock of elder men to find out a way to gather electricity, so you can improve the place greatly.

Afterwards, You walk around the village, chatting politely and even doing small favors for them. Their thought of you raises postively from your efforts.

What now?

You instruct a group of villagers to begin building some huts. They should be finished this afternoon.

You begin cutting out a piece of a hollowed out log. and make a giant hole in the middle at the top. You then craft a pair of sticks that have paddles smoothened out at the end. Congratulations.. you just learned the technology of boats! It may be wise to teach this skill to other villagers, so that they may begin gathering food.

You go around the small island village that is now yours, and start chatting with the idle citizens. What now?

You huddle 100 or so villagers up at the village square, and show them how to make boats. afterwards. They make boats for themselves!

They give them all a test, and sure enough.. they float on water. Now, what you need to do is build some sort of mechanism to catch the fish underwater to be able to gather fish.

Also, your village is in the middle of an ocean, so you will also have to find a way to filter out that water to where it is drinkable.

You could give your Villagers some rifles to go hunting for any animals near your land. Sorry, I forgot to add the quantity you start off with ^.^

You construct a water filter out of some leftover wood from the logs and some leftover shrapnel from a broken rifle. (weird huh?) .

Afterwards, you carve out a small stick, flexible enough to bend, but durable not to break easily. You tie a piece of string onto the pole and then realize.. you have no hook! Hooks need metal = Metal means you need a mine. Well... looks like your research is stalled for now.

You send out 90 hunters with rifles, hoping for them to bring back some good food to roast for lunch.

the Old men Suddenly scream out, "EUREKA!" And then run out to you. "Sir, watch this." They slide out a makeshift 'light bulb' you could say.. and then plug it up to a piece of string connecting to this huge sputtering object they crafted. The light-bulb then flutters to life amazingly! Congratulations, you have discovered electricity. The bad thing is.. the only metal that your village had was from the wires. The scientists took apart 25 of them for their research. that may be a bit dangerous for when a threat approaches. But, it's only a slight setback. Just find a mine if you can ASAP. What now though?

Well, you have to find a mine :P Try to send out a search party looking for any caves or deep holes. But like I said: This is your Island.

Both of you

Your scouting parties search around the area, and manage to spot mines!

Vladmir's party brings a sample of Iron back to him.

Jon's party brings back a sample of Copper back to him.
