This is a thread on Mythical Creatures and Beasts, obviously.

So what are you're thoughts on some? Do you believe in them? Which one(s) are your favo(u)rites? Etc. etc.

Now, who would like to share a mythical creature/beast with us?

I know this is random but a girl in my art class sits next to me and she is obsessed with dragons so what do i do to get her to stop talking?

the hippogriff, a cross between a griffin and a horse.

I still wonder why the hippogriff/gryph actually exists. It's a beast that doesn't make sense to be - alive!

Wrong place to ask, buddy.
Learn more about dragons, talk to her about it, score.

I like the Cockatrice, a cross between a cock and a serpent that had the same powers as a basilisk. And driders, a cross between dark elves
and spiders caused by the drows god Lolth. Look it up on Wikipidea

And the girl is probably too? I do not see the problem besides you think "score" can only relate to having sex, apparently.
He gets to talk to her about something she likes, he can possible add in with something she didn't know. They bond. They start becoming friends and talk about what he is interested in as well. Stronger friendship.

it doesn't.?

How come someone mentioned it, and I know what it is already?

i am sorry for the misunderstanding.i have only heard of it in that context before.

i thought that you were referring to it as physically real.again sorry for the misunderstanding.

Apology accepted. And yeah, I am not a native English speaker, so I have a habit of twisting the meanings a little, especially if I have heard something mentioned like that before.
Basically the score was simply meant as something good would come out of it.

i thought that you were referring to it as physically real.again sorry for the misunderstanding.

Again, don't worry about it. I think, in a context like this, saying something exists would automatically refer to "Exists in myths/literature/fantasy/imagination", but I guess not always.
I will explain myself better next time.
On the Hippogriff/gryph thing: Griffons/gryphons/griffins/gah... and horses are (as per their lore) natural enemies. To think of a beast being a blend of two natural enemies is odd to think of, which is why I wonder why they even exist.
It is like crossing a unicorn with a lion, two other enemies, especially as a unicorn and a lion would fight to death if they ever met.
Also, I used way too much time in my teens reading about mythological beasts....

i think that's why people came up with them. so it would make more interesting stories.

It's weird how people bend and twist stories so that they can make the creature look dangerous when maybe it could be nice and friendly. Some times.
Look for my Kracken story in the AMW 50 Themes challenge to see what I mean.

So do I. Except if someone right by me turned into a werewolf. I would run like hell. Of course the werewolf would probably catch up to me sooner or later.

I wouldn't mind being turned into a werewolf I also love dragons, the jabberwocky, and Mothman.
