It's that time again!

National Novel Writing Month is upon us.

One month to write fifty thousand words. I don't know about you, but I'm super excited. Who's with me?

I seriously assumed you mentioned the closeness of the muzzles to make it awkward. I thought you were trying to make a similar joke but on a smaller, less blunt scale. I was going to take it and run with it.

Well yeah, the situation and take on the old excuse "we weren't kissing, there was something in his eye!" was very deliberate.

I was hoping that you would take it and not run with it, and thank god, it worked!

Better get this up and running again, seeing how close we are to the start.
Hopefully everyone with an idea and the courage/stupidity to do this this year is ready with their quill, pen or keyboard, ready to spend/waste their November on writing.

Any goals for completion besides "in time"?
Ideas you wanna share, or are they for your mind only?
Stocked up on coffee, chocolate, soda and pizza or money enough to get it brought to your door?
And most importantly: Will there be ninjas in your story this year?

I want to actually finish the novel. Last year I wrote 50,000 but I didn't actually end it.

Stocked up on coffee, chocolate, soda and pizza or money enough to get it brought to your door?
I don't use caffeine and I dislike sweets. I also don't like to eat while I write.

And most importantly: Will there be ninjas in your story this year?
The probability says no, but all of the characters defy probability.

Attended a kick-off party today! Was... kinda lame, but whatever. Is anyone else planning on being involved with IRL NaNo events/meet-ups?

Any goals for completion besides "in time"? To fall in love.
Ideas you wanna share, or are they for your mind only? How to fall in love.
Stocked up on coffee, chocolate, soda and pizza or money enough to get it brought to your door? Only the person to fall in love with.
And most importantly: Will there be ninjas in your story this year? Only if I have the weirdest answers so far and they are in love.

Is anyone else planning on being involved with IRL NaNo events/meet-ups?

A few of them. Since I'll only be there as long as my laptop has juice, my travel range is limited by the fact that it should not come within 2/3 the drain rate of the battery.

I feel slightly weird that I don't feel sad that I'm not taking part this year. Then again I've got my own November deadline to meet which some of your are going to hinder by taking part in Nano!!!!!!! But that's okay.

GODSPEED ALL YOU WRITERS

Create a beautifully-worded plotless ramble that I can revise a plot into later after I win.

My story is about the life of a blind woman with many different types of synesthesia.
Stocked up on coffee, chocolate, soda and pizza or money enough to get it brought to your door?

Not yet. I need to get on that.
And most importantly: Will there be ninjas in your story this year?

I will consider it.

Hey I'm doing that too! xD

Nope, just in time. First year ever, so I'm bound to fail. But plenty of lulz (in the proper sense, plenty of lulz at people's peril ) would be nice.

Ideas you wanna share, or are they for your mind only?

No ideas. Or rather, dream ramble. It's about a guy who gets locked in his own head and can't wake up. I'm fairly sure that's cliche, but w/e.

Stocked up on coffee, chocolate, soda and pizza or money enough to get it brought to your door?

Ready rice and cereal is what I'm going to live off of, considering making the deadline will encompass all of my time not being spent on homework or afterschool activities.

And most importantly: Will there be ninjas in your story this year?

Of course.

It is coming to an end....I have 30 or so more minutes in my timezone, which means that soon everyone's times should be up.

So how did we all go? I finished, my plot ran out at 41k, I tied up loose ends till 48k and then wrote epilogues.

The month was long and harrrd...worse than last year. But I made it.

Two novels written!

You made the 50k? Good on ya.

In November, I... didn't do NaNoWriMo. I don't envisage myself ever doing it in the forseeable future, either. Though next year, I understand that I'm doing a pretty cushy rotation which should leave me with a decent amount of energy (if not free time, it's surgical D

Maybe that'd be a good time to really kick my current novel to the finish line!
