For years, I've used Internet Explorer until the other day when I downloaded Firefox. My question: What is the best browser? I know a lot of people have Google chrome and others like it, but do you have a favorite?

Chrome is great.

With the addition of themes and extensions, IMHO it has surpassed Firefox.

This thread has come up once again, huh?

First I've used Internet Explorer all the time since I didn't know there were such things as different browsers. When I did find out I went to Mozilla Firefox and used it for a couple of months. The speed was better, the themes were great, all the add-ons were nice too.

Then I found Google Chrome. Fast, simple, sleek, that's everything I wanted. The extensions are cool and the themes are nice too. I eventually used this for a while until I found even more browsers.

Well actually I had only found Opera. It was almost a combination of the two browsers but leaning more toward Chrome. I used it for half a year until I went back to Chrome.

I've used Chrome for almost a year now and I'm currently using it's beta 7. Out of the research I've found, all the results say that Google Chrome is the best.

Used IE, unbearably slow.

Switched to firefox, many many customizational apps for it.

Went Chrome, then Chromium (which is Chrome Betas), had all the apps you need, and maximized screenview (which was what I was going for).

Found Opera, was like chrome without support for every website and horrible apps.

Tested speeds of minefield to regular chrome, minefield was slower if not half as fast.

Chrome and Fire Fox are good browsers that I currently have, and their both fast but I use Chrome the most.

I don't have much love for Google (Mozilla is where my loyalty lies) but I've been made to use Chrome because Firefox lags up on this computer.

Chrome's an excellent browser though. I still prefer Firefox slightly more.

I like firefoxes customization and open source nature but I prefer Chromes stability. I find myself using the in different occasions. Firefox for homework (since I can block flash and adds when I really don't want to waste myself with it) and Chrome for when I'm just relaxing.

I like using completely open source software on my ubuntu open source operating system thought :P.

Chrome is mostly faster than Internet Explorer, but Mozilla Firefox is good. Probably recommended. So, yeah. If I had to choose, I choose Firefox, which you could choose too.

Try Chrome.

It will be a good improvement, and you can add extensions, themes, etc.

It only takes a couple minutes to install.

Explorer and the others are out of the picture. FF beats google chrome by a pinch. I've tried both GC and FF, they're very good. Simple to use.

I just realized I don't have FF or Chrome at the moment despite always supporting FF over any other browser. Imma go download Chrome now. Or maybe FF.

Anyways FF is the best in my opinion, despite Chrome looking slightly better. Most the time.

Downloaded both, yay. And about what I said before, Chrome does look better until themes come along. Chrome themes are crap compared to FF.

One more reason IE sucks: No auto spellcheck. Seriously -.-

And sorry for DP.

Agreed Pazx, there's not enough selection for Chrome themes.
