For years, I've used Internet Explorer until the other day when I downloaded Firefox. My question: What is the best browser? I know a lot of people have Google chrome and others like it, but do you have a favorite?

Another thing I like is that my username now fits in the box before it was lower and I could barely get at the control panel.

Has anyone tried Internet Explorer BETA 9? Does anyone see a difference between IE 8 and 9?

My dad tried it out on his computer.

The address bar is smaller and is next to the tabs, and the top of the browser (toolbar) takes up much less space. Good for netbooks. Looks great in Windows 7, actually.

Apparently, it's supposed to render pages better as well. But I haven't tried it that much so I'm not too sure about it.

It almost looks... usable. :P

Chrome

Google chrome is definitly the best

Why?

I've used IE 9 and
It almost looks... usable. :P

But it's not that much better except that it's a little bit faster.

I'll get it once it's out of beta. Mom will use it, my brother will, I won't unless it's good.

Also, please refrain from making dumb comments to this thread, noone wants to see another post saying "Chrome" or "Firefox" or "ZOMG CHROME FTW" and... noone want's to see a single post saying "IE RULZ" or anything along the lines of any of that stuff. If it weren't for the IE9 thing, this thread should be beyond dead.

I prefer Firefox. I use Google Chrome rarely. That is if you don't count doing my brother's Facebook. I used to use IE. I hated it and decided to download Firefox.

Also, IE9's toolbar looks a bit like Google Chrome.

IE is for starters, has normal speed.

Firefox is for me the best browser. Has many great add-ons and great themes. It is also fast and reliable.

Google chrome is simple and fast. Has many customizable apps and themes. Still, firefox is better.

Safari, Opera, and some others Are okay to some extent

Internet Explorer is targeted for viruses like no other.

I've been rocking Google Chrome for a long time now, and it is pretty kicking if I do say.

I use Fire Fox and Google chrome. I find no difference in them. It's just that I've been using Fox longer and I've gotten use to it. Google Chrome doesn't have as much features.

If you want to see how they judged the best browsers Go here and read.

That's an inaccurate data chart GOM.

But still I find Firefox a tad bit slower. Chrome is simple and doesn't take that much memory, I think.

I don't notice anything in the speed. For me there the same.

Chrome is simple

Yes it is. That's why I don't like it. I like having Fire Fox with all my features. :P

I forgot to mention in my post above. Why is it inaccurate?

I hate firefox. My school has it as an option and I want to punch just the firefox tab. I have gotten into the habit of using chrome. At first I thought it would suck, but now I love it. It gives me alot more room for the screen than internet explorer and firefox. It's fast, loads things great, and if you type in a website that you have been on before it can remember it (alphabetical though, like AE.com will do this before Armorgames.com) and will show the rest in highlight and all you do is click enter and you can go to the page without having to type the rest
