For years, I've used Internet Explorer until the other day when I downloaded Firefox. My question: What is the best browser? I know a lot of people have Google chrome and others like it, but do you have a favorite?

It's not about the range of themes, it's the fact that a little bar up the top of the screen isn't enough to really be a theme.

Personally i like both, but i prefer Chrome because Firefox UI is too windows 98 for me with the big menu bar

I disable most of the menu/tool bars in FF to get a top area roughly the size of Chrome's.

InPrivate browsing. You can guess why.

Don't all good browsers have a private browsing function?

I can now say that I have over 9000 posts.

We ninja'd each other lol. First time that's happened to me here.

Firefox has private browsing. In Chrome you can have a normal window open and another incognito one too however.

Are you saying in FF you can only have a private or a normal one open, not both?

Yes Pazx. You enter a private browsing mode and all of your windows you open are private. You can't have private and normal browsing simultaneously.

Just check with my Firefox 3.6. Lagged up on start-up.

Can I add that that is extremely useful when, say, an inappropriate website happens to have a million pop-up windows?

Yep. Chrome kills off those unending dialog boxes that pop up.

I just tried something and IE's private browsing is better than Chrome's. Probably more private too, I mean, it's Google -.-

IMO, private browsing on Chrome is easy as can be.

Ctrl+Shift+N, and you open an Incognito window... not that difficult :P

Going incognito doesn't affect the behavior of other people, servers, or software. Be wary of:
Websites that collect or share information about you
Internet service providers or employers that track the pages you visit
Malicious software that tracks your keystrokes in exchange for free smileys
Surveillance by secret agents
People standing behind you

The last 3 are rather amusing. I didn't know Google had a sense of humor.

Why is IE's private browsing better than Chrome's? I'd rather trust Mozilla than Microsoft.
