For years, I've used Internet Explorer until the other day when I downloaded Firefox. My question: What is the best browser? I know a lot of people have Google chrome and others like it, but do you have a favorite?
and if you type in a website that you have been on before it can remember it (alphabetical though, like AE.com will do this before Armorgames.com) and will show the rest in highlight and all you do is click enter and you can go to the page without having to type the rest
I've never used a browser that doesn't do that...besides the ABC order. Which seems like it would be a pain any way.
Well when I used IE..It would just drop down a list you could choose from, but not just let you straight up hit enter after only typing in 2 letters and it knowing what website. Same with FF
I've been able to maximise my screen space to the amount Chrome has, with Firefox. As for the drop-down list, my pinky finger usually takes care of that with the arrow keys to select the proper site..

But what about the speed? When I'v used Firefox i would sit there for a long time waiting for a page to load, with Chrome just a few seconds. And at my school the computers there SUCK, so when I use Firefox on those it seriously takes about 2 minutes for a page to load, but when I download Google Chrome, it takes just a few seconds
I lean more towards Mozilla Firefox because it has the most add-ons like: Stumbleupon, Facebook etc.... It fast in my opinion and even faster if you put Fasterfox on. Google Chrom is not for me because there is nothing fun to do while the page is loading because on MF, there are free games on the toolbar that load instantly when you are waiting.
I've posted here before mentioning how much I like Google Chrome and the reasons why. The only drawback about Chrome I've experienced on this computer is that Chrome sometimes gets too fast, when that happens half the add-ons stop working and Chrome ends up in conflict with Flash and Chrome crashes.

I'v had about 4 things a few times and nothings ever happened. Unlike IE or FF where they become about 10 times slower and take forever to load.
I used to favor IE and used that all the time. Until one day it just wouldn't work on my computer so for the time being I used Chrome. When I first started I thought it would suck but then I loved it. When IE started working again on my computer I still continued to use Chrome. Also unlike IE and Firefox, when typing anything on chrome on any website, if you spell something wrong it works like Microsoft word and will put the lil red line under the word and you just right click and fix it. That's pretty awesome and saves you from looking like an idiot
Anyways, I have both Chrome and FF. Which do I prefer? FF of course. Chrome has no difference in speed for me, and FF has a far better interface for me. With all the themes around, add-ons and the like, I don't need anything else.
Chrome is simple, too simple. I don't much like it. I use it when FF is being uncooperative, but not much more than that. FF does have some occasional stability problems, though. Especially if Flash crashes, it takes FF with it. Quick restore though, so no worries.
Completely agree, enterorion... But I prefer chrome. The navigation is the same as FF, but chrome is much faster to open. Sure, FF has lots of tools, but I don't use them, so better stay simple.
