I've been procrastinating on buying a new console (you know, distracted by ArmorGames 'n all).. I've heard good things about both, and both are now in my price range. Right now it seems like Xbox360 is the favorite, but in 5 years which one will be on top? I've always been a PlayStation person, and I feel like it could possibly make a comeback. My PlayStation is also my DVD player, so having that BlueRay would also be nice.. what are the upsides to the 360? And ultimately, which one is better?
PS3 all the way, no point in getting an XBOX, unless your willing to p[ay for playing online, and the only game you will ever get is probably Halo 3 lol.
At the OP (because I haven't read the whole thread), Xbox 360 is good community-wise, as in there's lots of players. Sure, they may only be 10 years old but it's someone to play with none the less. The graphical capability of the Xbox has pretty muched reached its peak, so games on it won't look as say, Killzone 2 looks compared to Fallout 3 on Xbox. The Xbox has better games too, generally.
I don't know much about PS3s but they're Bluray, and AFAI they can play Bluray DVDs.
I'm gonna stick with my PC that runs L4D better than the Xbox though.
I do agree with you. The XB360 has better online service but lacks the PS3's powerful graphics capabilities. The XB360 has generally not better games but a few massively hyped and acclaimed games such as Halo 3, Gears of War 1 & 2 blah blah. The trusty PC though is much more powerful than any console right now.
i agree with the pc bit but theres 1 problem.......... YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR FRICKEN GRAPHICS CARD ALMOST EVERY YEAR TO KEEP WITH THE LATEST GAMES i got my graphics card last year and now i hear that to play on sims 3 with awesome graphics i have to get another one im not wasting money when i can buy most of the games for console (although im definitly getting a new one for sims 3 because its awesome for pc even though you can proberbly get it for ps3 and 360)
360= Good Games, Good Graphics and more of my friends have one.
PS3= Decent games the good exclusives they have ar MGS and KZ. and blueray. But 1 thing i dont like is that the harddrive is built into your ps3 so if that breaks you lose all your memory.
xbox 360 hands down. the PS3 is a good considering its graphics are a little better than the 360's and it has a built in blu ray player but ultimately xbox 360 is better because it has almost as good graphics, achievements, a better selection of games, xbox live, and its compatible with HD.

Xbox Live costs but is excellent. The PS3 can have games with much better graphics then the Xbox 360 but that is not of utmost importance as of now. Where did you get your info that the PS3 is not HD compatible? Achievements are good and the Xbox 360 has quite a few well hyped and excellent games.

Well, if you're a PS person than get a ps3, and all the Sony games. The Ps3 and 360 has basically the same multiplat games, so you won't be missing much. Unless you really want to play some 360 exclusives...
oh and knight wat are you talking about?? xbox has xbox live.. wow.. you need to pay for that. but ps3 is for free it comes with it. as soon as you get your ps3 you can hook it up to the internet..

That's right. If you want to get the best of both worlds, purchase both consoles. Why are there exclusives for certain consoles? Money is the answer. I wish there weren't exclusives and that every game would be available on both consoles. Though that will never happen unless there is a single dominant home video game console.
