I've been procrastinating on buying a new console (you know, distracted by ArmorGames 'n all).. I've heard good things about both, and both are now in my price range. Right now it seems like Xbox360 is the favorite, but in 5 years which one will be on top? I've always been a PlayStation person, and I feel like it could possibly make a comeback. My PlayStation is also my DVD player, so having that BlueRay would also be nice.. what are the upsides to the 360? And ultimately, which one is better?
I would go with an xbox it has a better aracade and it's eaiser to develop games for. The price of the ps3 and it's last of a big selection of games shows in it's sales chart. I don't dislike the ps3 I just dislike where they are going with it.
xbox 360 all the way! i love that you can watch netflix and do all the cool stuff. they even have some good tournaments here and there. even though the ps3 has blu-ray i could care less.
ps3 has more respect points, but carries a large price tag. to me, xbox has good support, a lot of 3rd party games, and to me is a better value. many ppl say ps3 because of blue-ray. ever since on demand movies, i haven't touched a dvd, so that's not a factor for me.
PS3 is the way to go, plus rumor has it theres going to be a price cut....plus online play is free, blue ray is great and hd dvd is dead, it has remote play wich means you can sync ur psp, i can go on forever but heres a link for more in-depth comparision.....
Maybe somebody can help me make a good choice here...
Okay, so, I've never had enough money to purchase a high end console. However, recently, I've come into some money and I can't decide between the two. I know I don't want a Wii. Here is what I want...
I enjoy online gaming having been an avid PC gamer for going on ten years. However, the online community isn't as big a deal for me as getting a good gaming experience. Now, from what I understand, both systems have some good "system only games" (like Mass Effect or Halo for X-Box) and that's not too big for me either. I've been told the PS3 is great if you want a Blu-Ray player and some good graphics for games. I've also been told that an X-Box 360 is great for amazing graphics and good online play.
Now, here are my gripes about each. The X-Box 360 is going to make me pay for a subscription to play online. The PS3 is free but not as expansive or enriching as the 360. The X-Box 360 will have me connecting an ethernet cable to access the internet (even though you can buy a wireless adapter which is really freakin' expensive). The PS3 has a wireless built in. X-Box 360 supposedly has better graphics for its games but the PS3 can still look good.
I know these are small things (and most to do with money), but I think they can stand out enough. I'm leaning towards a PS3 simply because I don't want to pay for online play, I want to be able to connect to the internet without having to buy a wireless adapter, and I'm familiar with Sony's systems having been playing a PS2 for the last six years or so.
Is it a good investment to just buy the PS3 or will it be better to just keep saving and eventually get that 360?
