I've been procrastinating on buying a new console (you know, distracted by ArmorGames 'n all).. I've heard good things about both, and both are now in my price range. Right now it seems like Xbox360 is the favorite, but in 5 years which one will be on top? I've always been a PlayStation person, and I feel like it could possibly make a comeback. My PlayStation is also my DVD player, so having that BlueRay would also be nice.. what are the upsides to the 360? And ultimately, which one is better?
Xbox 360 has better graphics hands down. Xbox 360 has an extremely high fail rate. (i.e Overheating and very cheap DVD/ROM) I am on my second console in 15 months and it will be my last. The only reason I got Xbox #2 is because I could not bare to trade in $2000.00 worth of games to Gamestop for a couple hundred bucks. After this next console breaks though I am sure I will be heading back to Sony because Microsoft doesn't have a clue.
Well, the PS3 is heard to make a price cut. No real surprises their. The $200 Xbox360 is weak sauce so this is a tough choice. I would decide it on the games their make.
Pretty simple. Xbox breaks down a lot and is for casual gamers with its new project Natal motion control, so its going to the way of the Wii. FAMILY GAMES.... PS3 is pricey, but worth it. It has great graphics, but requires multiple system updates.
A NOTE TO EVERYONE ABOUT PRICE!!! XBOX REQUIRES A YEARLY FEE OF $50, SO PS3 IS A LONG TERM SYSTEM. IT ALSO INCLUDES A BLUE-RAY PLAYER, SO ITS A 2-IN-1 SYSTEM.
PS3 WINS, but if you are on a budget, Xbox is better for you.
I would say the 360 because of live. The...not sure what ps3 calls it but they're online doesn't have such a good expeirience but I have been hearing they are getting better online plus its free. But im still behind the 360 and I will always be behind it.
It's called playstation network. or psn. and the whole free thing totally sells it for me. I just wouldnt go online if i had a 360 because theres no way i would pay for it.
Also, what do you mean it doesnt have such a good experience?
So, the only way you can go online on the 360 is 50$ a year?
Obviously, you haven't played or know anything about an Xbox, let alone Live. Xbox actually gives you a chance to figure out whether you like live, or want to keep playing on live.
When you buy your Xbox it comes with three 1 month trials for live. There are also ways to get on Xbox without playing 50$, you can pay monthly, 7$ a month? I'm fairly sure any of your parents, or if you're at a place of your own, can scratch up seven dollars. If you don't like that, go to your local Gamespot and you can by a 3 month card for your Xbox.
Blu-Ray is so over-rated. 'Omg graphix!!!11!1! PS3 haz blu-ray'. It's over-rated. I have an 42" HDTV that plays on 1080p in my room and my Xbox can play DVDs. Blu-Ray isn't going to change anything for me. Why would I want to spend a couple hundred more dollars on something that isn't needed, when an Xbox has everything the PS3 can offer except for a few exclusives?
