I don't see how family orientation has anything to do with the quality of games. The only difference is the lack of questionable content, which, for some strange reason, people care a great deal about that than what's really important in a game.
And plus, why buy a whole new console when I can get the Move?
The Move (so far) is severely limited in the library of games that supports it, while the Wii's motion sensing is used in one hundred percent, though some games use it much more than others. Of those games that support The Move, usually party-themed games, the level of quality declines than the average game that uses a controller.
Sounds like you need to go back to playing Call of Duty #8137 on your fourth Xbox.
So true, sometimes I think that this generation doesn't play anything else.
And plus, the only reason Wii failed is becasue it's games were too family oriented
It didn't fail it just catered to a more profitable audience. Look at it's sales. Also there are plenty of mature games, mad world and No more heroes being a few prime examples and even more non family centered games.
but they need more of those games if they want my money. And plus, why buy a whole new console when I can get the Move?
I haven't heard of many good games being the product of the lolipopwiimote, seems like Sony only forced it on a couple of games.
while the Wii's motion sensing is used in one hundred percent
and more importantly Nintendo has outgrown it, most games now use it tastefully, no more flailing around.
All I;m saying is I don't expect it to sell good. Families who have the first one woud see no need in upgrading. They aren't in it for visuals. A game can bridge generations and be fun.
the wii 2 is really a rumor but still is a possibility. and i agree with others saying i'd wait before getting it and see what the games are. or i would just get the games and hope it will be able to play on the first wii.
Yes, but significantly less since everyone that wanted one already has one. You can't make more money if you have no more market anymore.
I dunno why they even announced it so soon
5 year cycles, everyone is going to start making new consoles in the next 2 years.

No new games, no new updates and a brand spanking new console. It happens every 5 years the minimum is not enough for people anymore. Trust me it will sell like hotcakes exactly how the 3ds did and how different is a 3ds from a ds really?
The Wii is a good system and does need improvments here and there sure. We have no power over what the companies do though and aren't there people who complain about the 360, and PS3? Nothing will truly ever please anyone. I personally think that the Wii 2 may be better then the first, but who knows!?
I just quit using my Wii, i hate it. It is now unplugged, in a box, all wrapped up. The new wii cannot be that much better than the old one, but there obviously could be some differences. I don't think any Wii could EVER be better than an Xbox 360 (Probably PS3 as well, but i don't have one so I wouldn't know.). Wii had okay online, just a little dumb at some points. SD cards i dont really care about. I used to use it to look at pictures up close (I do some photography.) so everyone else could see, and in case someone was using the computer. Plus it was real quick.
--Why is it so hard to understand that the Wii2 could potentially be much better than the original? This also depends on what part of good you are emphasizing, and the part of good you aren't understanding. Graphics and hardcore games, which are just mainstreamed video games promoted by bigtime software corporations streamed through different websites to further advertise their products, are the downsides of the Wii. That is it. It doesn't take much to understand that graphics isn't everything that is meant to be in software or hardware, and I've been stressing that for many, many times now. Being a true gamer is being objective in every way, shape or form, for every kind of console or game. This means being immersed in both "hardcore" and casual games. You do not just emphasize in one area of gaming and fixate that as the standard to which all other games must meet. That's not how it works. You are pointing out different areas and concepts of the Wii and debunking it strictly out of apathy and ignorance. "I do not know what this does and I do not care, so it is a faulty product." What was it about online that was "okay, but just a little dumb at times"? I will admit that the friend codes feature is faulty, but it brings a lot more security than people are giving it credit for.
Also, you may have noticed that this quote is not in the right thread. Well it should be.
