I've been procrastinating on buying a new console (you know, distracted by ArmorGames 'n all).. I've heard good things about both, and both are now in my price range. Right now it seems like Xbox360 is the favorite, but in 5 years which one will be on top? I've always been a PlayStation person, and I feel like it could possibly make a comeback. My PlayStation is also my DVD player, so having that BlueRay would also be nice.. what are the upsides to the 360? And ultimately, which one is better?
There was an investigation done on this very topic on gamespot.They tested a game (fallout i think) and it showed that ps3 games have better resolution then the games on the xbox 360.
I'd prefer ps3. While XBOX360 has some good games that ps3 doen't have. (such as Halo and Gears of War 2) But the ps3 also has some great titles that the Xbox360 doesn't have. (such as Metal Gear Solid 4, and GranTurismo 5) The ps3 can play BlueRay DVDs, and it has a way better sucess rate. Plus, the new Xbox will come out about a year before the ps4, and the ps3 has gott better hardrive. Overall, I would go with the ps3. Not only because of it's advantages, but it also shares most of the good titles out there with the Xbox360. (such as Farcry 2, and Call Of Duty 4 & Call Of Duty World at War)
I think that ps3 has Great graphics and o.k games and Xbox has good graphics and better games, so it depends what you like. I personally prefer the ps3.
I respectfully dissagree xx_Saint_Iltachi_xx. The PS3 has things like free demos for new games. it also has what is called Playstation Home which is like a giant chat room that you walk around in. The PS3 is not a waste of a console. Although i do agree that it costs a little more.
i like 360, it has larger selection of better games and on LIVE it has demos for new games, trial games for arcade games, game add-ons, netflix, community game nights, gaming with famous people, player reviews so you can avoid playing with people who you dislike and play with people you get along with, and much more than that...and I think thats why its better
i hope xbox 360^^ the PS3 keeps to be so expencive... I know it has blu-ray and a better graphics card but in my opinion the games on the 360 are better :P
Lets see... I've been reading the thread, taking in what people have been saying. I personaly own a 360, all of my friends own a 360, and I know only one person who owns a PS3. And he plays it like, three times a week, tops. Anyway, the 360 will play DVDs(same as Bluray, trust me. You think you see a difference in resolution, but you are just in denial.) and much better games. No one can decide for you, ace, my vote is 360. Halo/CoD/Gears/Bioshock for the winz.
xbox is going down the drain * littlery* They have now just found that the 360 scrachtes DVDS!!! Tisk tisk tisk.. Microsoft should really do somthing quickly or its not going to be in 2nd place anymore.
