I've been procrastinating on buying a new console (you know, distracted by ArmorGames 'n all).. I've heard good things about both, and both are now in my price range. Right now it seems like Xbox360 is the favorite, but in 5 years which one will be on top? I've always been a PlayStation person, and I feel like it could possibly make a comeback. My PlayStation is also my DVD player, so having that BlueRay would also be nice.. what are the upsides to the 360? And ultimately, which one is better?
Well they both have each others ups and downs. The Xbox has over 500 games in stock, not very expensive, but it seems to break quickly with the red ring of death or even by dropping it, also it is great for quality and online[money] but horrible arcade games.
The Playstation has great quality with Blue Ray, but too expensive, not that many games but last for a very long time, free online gamplay but laggs when trying to play.
xbox owners are just trying to prove something that its good at.(notice:try). they have nothing that is better the two best games are pretty gay and the controllers suck.
ps3 have better graphics better controls tighter games and have a better chance of not getting fukd up like my old xbox360.

yes it is true they both have up and down but the cost for ps3 is worth 2 xbox360s so you can say it cost a lot because xbox break a lot and you have to buy a new one thats why it has so much fking buys.
lets look at the facts, ps3 has better graphics the 360 has more games, they both have varying gameplay, but ultimately the 360 has slightly better gameplay, with the live 360 has a better community, because it is a proven fact (proven by me not that long ago) that better graphics are a conductor for more jerks. why this is I don't know, it could be because with better graphics comes a love for graphics and not for the game itself.
Honestly, I believe this whole thread to be a matter of opinion, so I don't see why some people are getting so rustled up in it.
That pretty much sums everything up. I have both the 360 and the ps3. I think that it depends on what you like to play. I think shooting games are better on the 360, but RPG games are better on the ps3.
Fire_Emblem, your list is stupid and deceiving because both the XBOX360 and the ps3 both have half of the games you listed. You make it look like XBOX360 doesn't have the Call of Duty Games, and that's a lie. You should only list games that ps3 has exclusively. And just to argue for the heck of it, I'll put down some XBOX360 exclusives:
