Excellently done Phantom, but I'm afraid that "illegal acts forced to the army" bit is a little overdone. Sorry, but perhaps you could change it? Like just have him lazy and didn't want to join the army but his dad pulled some strings and made him join? Or something. Then it'd be good.

Somebody call for a char sheet?

Tell me if theres something I need to change~

Name: Ashe Cassidy
Age: 24
Country: England
Physical Description: 5''6, light brown wavy hair often tied up into a loose ponytail, blue eyes, a little stronger than average
Personality: Approachable, stubborn, no nonsense, kind but firm, holds friends close but enemies closer, extremely charismatic. Doesn't mind taking orders from others but prefers leading. Firm headed, more mature than her years. Prefers working with men than women.
Biography: Grew up in harsh London town as an only child with a one parent family. Mother fled shortly after birth. Father is most probably biological father, but this has never been proven and there are no other relatives to confirm this. Father fully approves of the military choices, despite not being in the military himself.
Skills: Fast runner, sly and decieving, good at working out of character/as another character, can empathise for others
Bad At: Technology, vehicles, doesn't take British criticism well.
What Would You Like Me To Do With Your Character: British Special Forces or something similar. Basically, working behind the scenes.
Other: I don't mind what you do with my character, so long as she does not become the 'bad guy'.

Apologies Jess but I'm not too good with British history...were women allowed in the Brit army during WW2?
Even if they weren't, it's fine. You can pull a Mulan, that'd be awesome.

Nono, a female would be good.
Hm, I'll try to find out. I know the USSR let women enlist and I know the US didn't.
Night.

Name: Tolenka Alexandrevich (Patronymic) Kuznetsov

Age: 29

Country: USSR (Russia)

Physical Description: Tolenka shared his mother's Slavic inheritance rather than his father's blue-eyed, fair-haired influence. He is thick-boned and hazel-eyed, and stands a little on the shorter side than most Russians. Still tall, he very much has the appearance of a sensitive and genial Russian poet. His hair is also a dark, slightly wavy brown. His hands are large and weathered, betraying the many years of work he undertook, and the hard life in the army he now leads. He used to walk in an unhurried, relaxed manner. Given the onset of the war, however, he seems to have become slightly more strained, and a more cautious edge underlies everything he does.

Personality: Social yet calm, he's a self-assured man who knows what he can accomplish. Dangerously supportive and outspoken of individual rights in a communal nation, he sometimes skirts the edges of the rather one-sided law. He's quick to make friends, but it takes time and strongly-willed people to truly gain his respect and trust. He will take his time when answering questions, and his eyes are frequently thoughtful with shrewd observations.

Biography: Born in the waning years of the devastating WWI, he was still an infant during the October Revolution, the event which spurred the overturning of the Russian Tsars. He grew up in an unstable communist state, amongst infighting between the White and Red guards. His parents, particularly his father, came from a long line of industrialists who profited under the rule of Nicholas II, and other Emperors before him. While not exactly wealthy, they had lived in relative ease in a St. Petersburg townhouse. However, following the Tsar's murder, the Soviet Union "repurposed" the properties of the Kuznetsov household, reducing the family to near squalor as the townhouse was turned into a household containing three extra families. But they could not speak out against it -- after all, it was for "the good of the people". Tolenka was still raised to believe in the worth of an individual, however, and he secretly admired the enterprising countries of the west. He skirted, perhaps foolishly, several Soviet property-owning laws and managed to jointly own several factories alongside his father.

Skills: Management. Given his experience running textile factories with his father, whom he still deeply admires, Tolenka knows how to control and yet give his underlings both proper instructions and dignity. He's also quite handy at tinkering, because he loves to do anything with his hands. He learned to mend clothes (be it a woman's task or not), and soon hopes to make some money (he'll take it where he can get it) out on the front by opening a tailoring shop for soldiers and officers. He can be very patient and listens well -- when it serves him. He takes advantage of opportunities when they present themselves, just like any sharp businessman.

Bad At: Taking orders, subservience. He loathes the fact that he was drafted, and his detests his government and the self-righteous Soviet commissars. While Tolenka CAN listen well, he might not always be inclined to follow orders, especially if he feels that it's "for the people" or devalues the individual. While, socially, he's a tactful and perceptive person, he's prone to negatively speak out against the USSR a bit too loudly, which might soon get him into trouble.

What Would You Like Me To Do With Your Character: Honestly, I don't really care. Stick him in wherever it'd be useful. ^^ Maybe the chance to interact with some of the other accepted characters? If possible? But if you like this application, like I said, put him wherever it would fit.

Other: Ehm....it's possible that Tolenka might get in trouble soon. The USSR really wasn't happy with such vocal dissention amongst the ranks.

I apologize if this sounds Gary Stu-ish. A lot of similar tales were actually true though. :P

(Sorry if this was too long -- what can I say? I got carried away! I love this idea of yours!)

Oh, and rank? LOL, I have no idea about army ranks. *googles*
Corporal seems to fit. I have a feeling that he would be promoted due to his age and his leadership abilities -- and also probably with the hope that Tolenka was settle down and shape up, accepting his duty as a good man of the people!

However, if he remains too outspoken against the USSR he might get demoted. >.>

You know what -- I'm not sure about Corporal. That seems like too much. I'll just leave it to you. You seem to know what you're doing, Hyper.

I'm afraid I'm really dreadful with military ranks and the like.

HOLY HELL ON A HOT DOG STICK!
Asterantha, what can I say? That's perfect.
And corporal would be just fine. In fact I having read your sheet, I was thinking maybe he could start off as a sergeant but then be demoted down to corporal?

@Jozhur: This is still open signups. I think I'll start writing tomorrow.

Woohoo!
I had a fun time writing it. I'm glad it meets your expectations. ^^
I can't wait to see what you do with the story!

Also, if you'd like to fill it up with more characters (I was thinking a nurse would be helpful, lol), I'd be happy to assist.
*dances*

And Loco, just think of really unusual and historically-inclined backgrounds for your characters. Think of where they grew up and what was happening at the time. That often influences the person they become. It'll probably help!
